How To: Create a new playlist

1. Connect your iRiver player to your computer.
2. Download the program into your iRiver's hard drive.
3. Double click on the program to run (if you are getting an error, check the FAQ section).
4. To add songs, drag and drop the music files/folders from PLAYER'S HARD DRIVE into the program's left box.
5. To delete songs, select songs in the playlist, then right click to delete from playlist.
6. Go to menu File, then click on "Save", and save into any folder in PLAYER'S HARD DRIVE.

 

How To: Edit an existing playlist

1. Connect your iRiver player to your computer.
2. Download the program into your iRiver's hard drive.
3. Double click on the program to run (if you are getting an error, check the FAQ section).
4. Drag and drop a .m3u playlist file into the program (or use the File->Open menu).
5. Add more songs by drag and drop files/folders into the program.
6. Go to menu File, then click on "Save."

 

How To: Play the playlist in player

1. Disconnect the USB cable from computer if connected.
2. In your player, press "OFF/STOP" once to stop music playing.
3. Press the "A-B" button ONCE, scroll to the new playlist, and press the "NAVI" button to start.

FAQ: Why am I getting the "Read Error" message in the player?

• Check that the names of the songs do not exceed 52 characters.
• Make sure that songs and playlist are both in the iRiver's hard drive.
  When adding songs to playlist, you should drag and drop songs from your iRiver only.
  When saving playlist, you should always save the playlist into a folder in your iRiver.
• When adding non-English characters songs,
  • Make sure your computer's Regional/Language setting is set to that language.
  • Make sure your iRiver's language setting is also set to that same language.

 

FAQ: Why am I getting "The application failed to initialize properly (0xc0000135)." error when I run the program?

• The error message indicates that required Microsoft .Net Framework 1.1 is not installed in your computer.

 

FAQ: Does the program support non-English characters?

• To play songs with non-English names, you need to:
  • Make sure your computer's Regional/Language setting is set to that language.
  • Make sure your iRiver's language setting is also set to that same language.

FAQ: What is Microsoft .NET Framework?

• Similar to Java Runtime, .NET Framework is a middle layer between Windows and .NET programs, that allows the execution of .NET programs. Since the program is created in .NET, .NET Framework is required to run the program.

 

FAQ: Does it void my player warranty by using the program?

• The program helps to create playlists to be used in player. It does not harm your player in any way, nor would it void player's warranty.
